Ottawa (KS) Men’s Basketball Signs Three for 2023-24

OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men’s basketball program is pleased to announce the signing of Dylan Winzer, Brandon Martinez, and Julian Onezine for the 2023-24 season. Winzer is from Winnie, Texas, Martinez hails from Lamar, Colo., and Onezine is from Katy, Texas.

Winzer lettered in basketball, football, baseball, and track at East Chambers High School. He earned First Team All-District honors as a junior and senior.

Winzer is the son of Loyd and Rachel Winzer and plans to major in exercise science. He played travel ball for the Beaumont Wolfpack under coach Kevin Espree.

Martinez earned letters in basketball and baseball at Lamar High School. He was a Second Team All-Tri-Peaks League selection and earned Honorable Mention All-Tri-Peaks League honors. Martinez played in the 719 Basketball Showout by All Goals Basketball Training.

Martinez is the son of Anthony and Kathryn Martinez and plans to major in sport leadership.

Onezine lettered in basketball and track at Paetow High School.

Onezine is the son of John Onezine and Jennifer Onezine and plans to major in forensic science. He played travel ball for Invictus Redstorm for Coach Warren.
