NORTHBROOK, IL — The Northbrook Park District’s Heritage Oaks Golf Course recently received some national recognition. During a ceremony last month by the Golf Range Association of America in Orlando, the golf course was named a Top 50 public range and its director of golf, Greg Baron, was named a Top 100 teaching professional.
It was the second-straight honor for Baron, according to NPD.
“This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication and innovation of each member of our team,” Baron said. “It is an honor to be recognized by the GRAA, and I am confident that this accomplishment will further strengthen our position as a leader in the Chicagoland area and the industry.”
Heritage Oaks Golf Club, located at 3535 Dundee Road in Northbrook, features 27 holes of golf with a Classic 18 and a Legacy 9, along with a six-acre outdoor practice range equipped with TrackMan technology, a 10,000 square-foot putting green, a short game practice area featuring a greenside bunker, two indoor golf simulators and a golf academy.
For the NPD’s “commitment to environmental stewardship,” the golf course was named an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program by Audubon International.
