Council sells land to hotel and restaurant supply firm in move creating 100 jobs

The site in Queenslie by Penton Road has been purchased by Alliance Disposables Limited (ADL) in an off-market disposal for a price of £420,000.

ADL, which supplies hotels, restaurants and the hospitality sector with catering equipment, will use the site to extend their nearby Scottish headquarter by 25,000 square feet and expand its warehouse and distribution sector.

As well as this, ADL is planning to create a vole receptor site after the presence of water voles was identified in the area.

Councillor Ruairi Kelly, the convener for neighbourhood services and assets at Glasgow City Council, said: “It is fantastic to see Glasgow businesses looking to expand and grow in the East End.

“The sale of this land will allow ADL to increase the size of their operation and importantly, employ more people locally, creating up to 100 new jobs.”
