Artorius has run his last race in Australia

In a bittersweet announcement, connections of the champion racehorse Artorius have confirmed that the star galloper has run his final race on Australian soil. After delivering a fantastic performance in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes, Artorius will now set his sights on a return to Royal Ascot, where he will contest the prestigious Group 1 Platinum Jubilee Stakes on Saturday, June 24.

Artorius has had a remarkable career in Australia, with his latest victory coming in the Canterbury Stakes at Royal Randwick. This win marked his second Group 1 triumph following last year’s successful European campaign, which saw the horse return to home shores in style.

Currently taking a well-earned break in the paddock, Artorius will soon begin his preparations for the highly anticipated Royal Ascot event. The racing world eagerly awaits his performance on the international stage, as the talented racehorse aims to make a lasting impression before returning to Australia to retire at Newgate Stud.

Connections of Artorius have expressed their gratitude to the dedicated team behind the scenes, as well as the horse’s owners, who have played pivotal roles in the champion’s extraordinary career. With high hopes for his upcoming European challenge, there is no doubt that Artorius will continue to make his supporters proud as he takes on the world’s best in the Group 1 Platinum Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
